Trade Sheffield Launched

Trade Sheffield aims to tackle the credit crunch by bringing local businesses together to support each other and strengthen the local economy. It is our goal to make finding local suppliers as quick, easy and as profitable as possible.

How does Trade Sheffield work?

Trade Sheffield brings together businesses who have need of each others goods or services. Our unique matching system can help you to find local suppliers with which to trade and barter for each other's products. You can also use Trade Sheffield to find businesses who are purely interested in buying your product or local suppliers to supply you with the goods and services your business needs on a day to day basis.

Why Trade Locally?

The benefits of sourcing products and services locally are profound. It is estimated that if 100 companies in Sheffield sourced just one service from within the city for a year, it would keep £5 million in the local economy. There are also huge savings to be made by bartering goods with other local businesses as well as a reduction in transport costs, CO² emissions and packaging.

Who's involved already?

Trade Sheffield was concieved by Richard Mills and developed by S8Design. Trade Sheffield has recieved massive support from the local business community with many high profile Sheffield businesses such as Creative Sheffield, Ant Marketing, Pro Sheffield, Printing.com, Bag It Don't Bin It, Halliwells and ESG Group getting on board and offering their full support for the site. S8Design have just returned from a successful networking event at the Walnut Club on Ecclesall Road. The owner of the club, Richard Mills, stood up in front of a hundred of Sheffield's leading business directors to introduce his latest project, Trade Sheffield. This unique concept was devised by Richard Mills and is being developed by S8Design
